Drawing of the day...two days ago.

I got a little sketchbook at my conference and it's my goal to make a drawing a day about my day.
This was my experience at the conference on Saturday. I heard Robert Root-Bernstein speak. He is a science professor and researcher at MSU who talked about how art and science are related. It was very exciting and inspirational.

Then the other elements of my day are much more self-explanatory...in the drawing at least.

A Taste of the Wilderness?

What in the world will this be about? You'll have to check back and see.

Do I Know You?

This guy at s-bucks looked familiar, but I didn't use that clichéd line on him...I just drew him...

I am having strange shadowing issues with my scanner... :(

Birds

Well, it is my goal to write a graphic novel. These characters may not make the cut, but I am preparing for my characters, so enjoy my sketches.

Trip To Syracuse

This is what I was inspired to draw when I was on my way to Syracuse University with my students. We spent 10 hours on a bus.

Playing With Pen Nibs & India Ink

My scanner is too small for my artwork, so it's blurry at the top. This was a lot of fun anyway.

Comic Faces

I'm thinking about doing a huge piece of paper like this even though this small one took forever and was not too fun to do. I like how it looks.

Sports

This was a theme I gave my students to create a drawing around this past quarter, so I thought I would do it too.

Light

I decided to be illustrative and a tiny bit conceptual. I went with a lightbulb and light as a feather.
I have included my planning sketch in order to show my complete process...
