Digital Self-Portrait

I have done this type of artwork a couple of other times for Illustration Friday topics. (Oct. 29, 2008, March 21, 2008, and March 31, 2008)  

I decided to resurrect this assignment for my students, and therefore practice it myself. I think I need to add some shading underneath my body yet, so maybe I'll be fixing it and reposting later.

These bushes were right outside the house we were staying at in Hawai'i and I liked them a lot, so I drew them...or at least started to, but then I got eaten by mosquitos.

This is similar to another work I have done, or rather the same piece taken further. And the man's reflection is similar to his person.

I think the addition of the water makes the work more contemplative.
