Creating Miniatures with Tilt-Shift Photography

This is something completely new to me, but I have had fun experimenting today. Here are two of my examples of Tilt-Shift Miniature Photography. Click images to enlarge.

I hope to do some more successful ones in the future.

Similar

This is similar to another work I have done, or rather the same piece taken further. And the man's reflection is similar to his person.

I think the addition of the water makes the work more contemplative.

Polka Dot Frog

I'm thinking about creating a print of this. If I ever do, I will post it here. Here's my Photoshop/Illustrator plan. You can see I used my original frog Illustrator drawing.

Better?

I think this is better. I know it's only a thumbnail, but it helps to see how it will read. Let me know if you agree or disagree.

More Narrative

I hope it is clear what is happening. I know my perspective is a bit off on the faller and the tripper, so I have to work on that a bit. I was trying to use foreshortening to make it look like the faller is coming closer to the viewer, but he just looks like he should be WAY taller than the other guy. I need some work!

Illustration Friday: Green

Here's my go at Photoshop. This was not my original idea for this illustration, but everytime I thought of the word green I kept getting the Radiohead song in my head that begins..."Green plastic watering can..." (Fake Plastic Trees)

I did not get enough time this week to work on this since I was behind from the last two weeks.
