I have done the last couple of Illustration Friday topics, but did not post them, so if you like this one check them out on my blog...

This is a terrific IF response! I like your earlier ones too (especially the Chuck Close-like eye.) Thanks for your comment on my own IF post. A "chime bird" is an infant toy: a large heavy plastic bird that wobbles and makes a charming chiming sound when it does so. I think it is of Scandinavian or German design and is probably vintage by now (my twins are 13!)

What a terrific post! I love "globes" and gazing balls, etc. I loved this week's word. Thanks for your comments on my blog. Th only thing I know about Ravens in legends is Native Americans looked to them as "tricksters." But I feel very connected to them in a gutteral sense. Don't ask me why. You'll see them come up a lot in my large paintings and again in my illustrations here. I find them to be magical, mythical beings. To me they're my protectors and elders. Again, I can't say where this come from except that I feel it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ha, you noticed. I was playing on the meaning of the word fortune. (Money and Luck.)
